Futureland Festival took place for the first time on October 2, 2016 as the final after party of the biggest tech conference in Eastern Europe - IT Arena.  Apart from more than 1800 conference participants, the festival brought together a few thousands of visitors and became one of the biggest open-air parties last autumn.

The line up was terrific: the world famous drum & bass DJ Netsky headlined the festival. Netsky has more than 42 million views on YouTube, over 11 million plays on SoundCloud and 30 on Spotify. He’s known for his remixes of Swedish House Mafia “One”, Rusko’s “Everyday” as well as numerous tracks of Madeon, Ed Sheeran and Jack U. Netsky was accompanied by equally popular MC - Script MC.

Other artists included the best Ukrainian DJ Omnia and a famous drum & bass band FunkMasters. Omnia is the only Ukrainian DJ on the world’s Top 100 DJ list according to DJ Mag. In the meantime, FunkMasters are actively involved in developing and promoting drum & bass culture in Ukraine, e.g. they have started a few DJ schools around the country.

Arena Lviv Stadium was the life of the party for the night since the visitors had the whole football pitch as a dance floor. The DJs were rocking till the early hours of the morning, the sky was brightly lit up with colourful electronic beams and every visitor has agreed: Lviv has not seen a festival like that before!
